- Digital Electronics Basics (Boolean math, logic gates and truth tables)
- Why and where to use Function Block versus Ladder
- Creating a new application
- Configuring I/O
- Creating a new Function Block Routine
- Basics of navigating through the FB editor
- Basic controls programming (Digital)
- Intermediate controls (Analog)
- Advanced controls (Including the PIDE instruction)
- Creating your own instructions using Function Block
- Downloading/Uploading application to Contrologix processor
This hands-on course will allow students to interact through hands-on labs to show
real world application of this great AB product. The course assumes that you have
had a Contrologix basics class or equivelant hands on experience with
ladder logic programming (RSLogix 5000)
